What you need to know about nose surgery:
Rhinoplasty or Nose Job is sometimes referred to as nose reshaping or a nose surgery.
During your rhinoplasty procedure, the plastic surgeon will modify the size of your nose, remove humps, change the shape of tip or bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between the nose and upper lip. Nose job may also relieve some breathing difficulties.
Procedure: Outpatient procedure
Duration: one hour or more
Anesthesia: sedation and local anesthesia.
Scars: no scars or small scar at the bottom of the nose
Days to recover: 5 to 7 days
Regular activity: after one week

After your nose job procedure, you should avoid any activity that could impact on the nose or becoming sunburned for at least eight weeks. The use of a sun block is useful. Sleeping on the back is recommended the first three days. Bruising and swelling should fade after five to seven days. The final results may take up to six months. Strenuous activities may be resumed after 2 to 3 weeks. You shouldn’t wear eyeglasses after removing the splint for a period of one month.
