Code of Ethics
As a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. I will act in the highest
professional manner and:
- Serve humanity with full respect for the dignity of all persons.
- Strive always to improve medical skills and make available to patients and colleagues the benefits of professional knowledge.
- Practice method of healing on a scientific basis and not associate professionally with anyone who does not uphold this principle.
- Strive to protect the public and the profession against physicians who are incompetent or have a low moral character.
- Observe all laws, honor the dignity of the profession, and accept self-imposed discipline.
- Expose illegal or unethical conduct of fellow members of the profession.
- Render proper service in an emergency.
- Refrain from soliciting patients.
- Limit the source of professional income to medical service actually rendered. Fees will be fair and just and commensurate with service rendered.
- Dispense drugs, remedies, and appliances only when in the best interest of the patient.
- Seek consultation upon request in doubtful or difficult cases, or if the quality of medical service may be enhanced.
- Honor the ideals of the medical profession and participate in activities that improve the health and wellbeing of the individual patient.
